As Matthew Drake's placement year with CCP Gransden comes to an end, we would like to recognise and thank him for his hard work, dedication and contributions over the past 12 months.
Joining the business as a Placement Project Engineer, Matthew quickly became a valued member of the team. Throughout his year with CCP Gransden, he supported a range of projects across our aerospace and defence composites operations, gaining valuable hands-on experience while contributing to the successful delivery of customer requirements.
Placement opportunities play an important role in developing the next generation of engineering talent, providing students with the chance to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world environment. During his time with us, Matthew embraced this opportunity, developing his technical knowledge, project management skills and understanding of the aerospace and defence sectors.
Matthew is now returning to Queen's University Belfast to complete his Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. We are confident that the experience he has gained during his placement year will serve him well as he enters the final stage of his studies and progresses towards a career in engineering.
At CCP Gransden, we are proud to support emerging talent and help students gain practical industry experience alongside their academic development. Investing in future engineers is essential to the continued growth and success of the aerospace sector, and we are delighted to have been part of Matthew's journey.
