CCP Gransden Advanced Composites is delighted to welcome two Project Engineer placement students from Queen's University Belfast as part of their year-long industrial placements.
Tom Rowlatt-McCormick, who is studying Mechanical Engineering, and Emily Arthur, who is studying Aerospace Engineering, have joined the company's engineering team and will spend the next year gaining valuable industry experience within a leading advanced composites manufacturing environment.
During their placement, Tom and Emily will work closely with CCP Gransden's engineering and production teams, supporting a range of customer programmes from development through to manufacture. The placement will provide exposure to advanced composite manufacturing processes, programme delivery, quality requirements, and the day-to-day activities involved in supplying components to aerospace, defence, and other high-performance industries.
By working alongside experienced engineers and manufacturing specialists, they will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained during their studies in a practical setting while developing a broader understanding of industrialisation, production processes, and project delivery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Industrial placements provide students with valuable real-world experience while helping to develop the skills needed to support the next generation of engineers and manufacturing professionals.
